The original Bad credit Credit card page was too cluttered and had no clear heirarchy. This lead to confusion and complication for the user when it came to finding relevent information. The CTA being overshadowed by content and imagery for mobile users also negatively affected click through rates to the form, meaning the page had very little to no impact.

So, based on information collected from user research, the aim was to rebuild the page as a starting point to the Ocean Finance rebrand, and to carry out this branding through the website upon successful testing. A simplified UI on the face of the page, with easily navigable information, and a clearer UX, with a much more accessible path to the credit card form.

  • Bolder titles, more white space, the same relevent information but rewritten and structured in a clearer, more concise way.
  • Hero image replaced inline with the new branding, as well as detailing a proof point above the fold.
  • Less clutter and more breathable space around the button makes it more accessible, and showed a higher click through rate.
  • Incorporated a slider showing the latest credit card blog posts. This helped those looking for more information as well as pulling more engagement to the Ocean blog.
  • Updated modern icons to draw the eye, making the simplified information easier and more enjoyable to read.
